Company History
KP Construction was formed in May 2004. The company is 100% woman owned and is 100% BEE owned and managed. The company is owned and managed by Kumarie Pillay who oversees the entire administrative function of the company and is ably supported by her husband who controls the technical aspect and oversees the site operations.
The company identified a need for skilled contractors in the small and medium sector of the construction industry within the Southern Cape and hence established KP Construction. This decision to team up and combine skills has been satisfying and successful. The company is now one of the leading contractors within the building industry in the Southern Cape.
We are currently expanding our business operations through other regions of the country.

HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN
Complying with health and safety law is of utmost importance. We constantly strive on “protection better than  injury” motto. All necessary precautions are followed to ensure that the health and safety regulations are met.

About Management
Kumarie Pillay comes with a financial background having worked for Group5, she ran the Administration Department in Construction International and HT Civils in the Kwazulu Natal. She also assisted in the tendering department. She holds a diploma in Accounting and a Small Business Management.
The project manager, Patrick Pillay, comes with 20years experience in the civil and building environment. He has a diploma in engineering survey and has completed 3years part time studies towards a Bsc - Quantity Surveying degree for the University of the Free State.

Workers

Team spirit is what we constantly aim for.  We like to lead our employees, by example, in honesty, ethics, values, commitment , respect, and also high standard of workmanship . The success of KP Construction can be attributed to our combined efforts , and we appreciate our workers for that. We are constantly striving to enrich our employees with skills and knowledge to uplift and help in their self development. We like to guide our workers with basic life skills and values and health and are currently embarking on cancer test that are being run in the area.

As we work on each project  awarded to us, we look for ways that we can help enrich either people in the premises of project or region. We earn to serve.

Serving the community
Both, our business finances and our Christian beliefs and principles allows us to fulfill community services. We are passionate about enriching people lives and sincerely appreciate our community and express it in a multitude of ways.
Our support extends from educational, sports club, sick, orphans, churches, feeding schemes, visiting poor communities in the vicinity and encouraging people through hosting conferences and talks.
Our works extend to both national and international support. We basically look for a need and try and fulfill it.
